SUBSIDIZED SURGERY COSTS

Who qualifies for financial assistance for surgery costs?

Stepping Stone Animal Society clients whose household income falls at or below the federal poverty level or who are active duty/retired military service personnel will qualify for a subsidy to pay for at least a portion of the spay/neuter surgical expense.

How much will surgery cost?

Out-of-pocket surgical fees vary by animal, size and weight. The best way to find our prices is to call us at (240) 362-7547.  Please note: The amount and availability of subsidy is subject to change without notification.

SEARCHING FOR A VETERINARIAN

Our primary veterinarian is currently on maternity leave, and we have faced difficulties finding a replacement. As a low-cost spay/neuter clinic, we understand the urgency and need for our services. We have a significant waiting list for surgeries, and we are doing everything possible to manage this effectively.

As we do this, we would ask you to not leave messages to be added to any wait list. If you email us, we will send you a list of other lower-cost spay/neuter clinics in the area who may be able to assist.

We are not closing and are committed to addressing our waiting list as efficiently
